Introduction

When you first start using Enterprise Server, you need to:

1. Decide on a user account strategy and implement it. Set up the environment.
2. Decide what security requirements you have and configure your security options appropriately.
3. Set other configuration options for the Directory Server.
4. Set configuration options for your enterprise servers.

The default enterprise server, ESDEMO, is created for you when you install Enterprise Server. This server provides a deployment system service.
