You require the following privileges to install or run
Silk Test Classic:
- To install
Silk Test Classic, you must have local administrator privileges.
- To install
Silk Test Classic on a Windows server, you must have domain-level administrator privileges.
- To run
Silk Test Classic with the Classic Agent, you must have administrator privileges.
- If you have installed
Silk Test Classic into the
Program Files folder, you must have administrator privileges to run
Silk Test Classic with the Open Agent.
- If you have installed
Silk Test Classic into a different location than the
Program Files folder, you do not need to have administrator privileges to run
Silk Test Classic with the Open Agent.
- To run
Silk Test Classic, you require full access rights to the following folders, including all subfolders:
- C:\ProgramData\Silk\SilkTest.
- %APPDATA%\Roaming\Silk\SilkTest.
- %APPDATA%\Local\Silk\SilkTest.
- %TEMP%.
Note: If User Account Control (UAC) is activated on your system,
Micro Focus recommends that you install
Silk Test Classic into a different location than the
Program Files folder.
