Establish a connection to a data source to monitor IBM DB2 DBMS
systems and to create an initial view that contains the measures you want to
monitor.

On the
Real-Time Monitoring tab, in the
Monitor group, click
System.
The
Data Source wizard opens.

Click the
Select from predefined Data Sources option button.

Click
Next.
The
System selection page opens.

Expand the
Database System folder and select
IBM Universal Database DB2 (snapshot dll).

Click
Next.
The
Connection parameters page opens.

In the
Hostname text box, specify the host on which the
DB2 database is running.

Click
Next.
The
Attributes Configuration page opens.

Define the following monitoring-specific attributes:

Click
OK.
The
Select displayed measures page opens.

Check the check boxes for those measures that you want to include in the initial monitor view and then click
Finish.
A connection to the specified host is established, and an initial view that contains the measures you selected is displayed.
