In
Silk Performer, expand the
Profiles node in the
Project tree.
Right-click the profile that you want to configure and choose
Edit Profile.
Tip: Alternatively, you can choose
Settings
> Active Profile from the menu bar.
The
Profile - [<profile name>] dialog box opens, and the
Replay category is displayed in the shortcut list on the left.
In the shortcut list on the left, click the
Record button.
The Record category is displayed.
In the shortcut list, click the
Database icon.
Click the
Recording tab.
In the
Oracle OCI area, click the
Generate random input for long placeholders
option button to replace large amounts of data exchanged between the client
application and the database server with random data.
Because original data is rarely required for replay, this option
helps to prevent large data files from being carried along with test scripts.
Click the
Generate files for long placeholders option
button to store large amounts of data exchanged between the client application
and the database server in a file.
During replay, the file is used to send exactly the same data to
the database server that is sent to the client application.
