Manage the execution environment to specify where Silk Central tests are executed. Silk Central's execution environment consists of physical and virtual (cloud-hosted) execution servers, which are grouped into logical containers called Locations.
Locations are logical containers for execution servers. For information on setting up execution servers, see Setting Up Execution Servers. Since Silk Central supports worldwide distribution of Points of Presence (PoP) — the distribution of execution servers — it is desirable to group execution servers into locations. Locations are not required to be physical locations though, they can simply be used to group your execution servers into manageable units.
Silk Central execution servers are responsible for executing scheduled tests, for example Silk Test Classic and Silk Performer scripts. Execution servers can be either physical or virtual (cloud-hosted) machines.
