To silently install licenses and Server Enterprise Edition

To install Server Enterprise Edition silently with a license:

• Run the install file using the SERIALNUM, LICENSENUM and DATABASEDIR switches (which must be in upper case). For example, enter:

  SRPxxxxxxxx.exe /s /v"" /qn  SERIALNUM=serial_number 
                            LICENSENUM=license_key 
                            DATABASEDIR=d:\mfaslmf"

  Where:

  • SRPxxxxxxxx.exe is the install file on the Server Enterprise Edition CD
  • /s and /qn specify installing silently
  • /v"..." passes switches to the msi file within the installable exe file
  • d:\mfaslmf is the directory where the license database is (or is to be created)

To install Server Enterprise Edition silently without installing a license:

• Run the install file using the SKIPASLMF switch, which inhibits the licensing dialog. You will need to install the license before users can use your application. To inhibit the licensing dialog, enter:

  SRPxxxxxxxx.exe /s /v"/qn SKIPASLMF=1"

To install a license silently without installing Server Enterprise Edition:

• Use the aslmpcsilent command. First, make sure that your AppTrack environment is set up, and then use an aslmpcsilent command of the following form:

  aslmpcsilent function serial_number license_key

  Where function can be:

  • 1 - checks if any licenses are already installed and if not, installs this license
  • 2 - checks if this license is already installed and if not, installs it

  For example:

  aslmpcsilent 2 11122233 1111222223333344444
