CICS Web Interface

The CICS Web Interface implementation has been enhanced by an extended CICS™ support which includes DOCUMENT and EXTRACT TCPIP CICS™ APIs. The support provided by the DOCUMENT API allows for the rapid development of Web-based CICS™ applications. The support provided by the EXTRACT TCPIP API allows TCP-aware applications to identify the IP address and host name of the client whose request is being processed.

Support as well as associated resources and infrastructure is provided for the following APIs:

• INQUIRE DOCTEMPLATE
• SET DOCTEMPLATE
• DOCUMENT CREATE
• DOCUMENT DELETE
• DOCUMENT INSERT
• DOCUMENT RETRIEVE
• DOCUMENT SET
• EXTRACT TCPIP CICS

The following APIs are not supported:

• CREATE DOCTEMPLATE
• DISCARD DOCTEMPLATE
