Enhancements in Management Packs for System Center Operations Manager

The following management packs are included to integrate Server Enterprise Edition with Microsoft's System Center Operations Manager (SCOM):

• MicroFocus.Server.Core.Library.mp 6.0.2.0
• MicroFocus.Server.EnterpriseServer.ManagementPack.mp 6.0.5.0
• MicroFocus.Server.EnterpriseServer.MTO.ManagementPack.mp 6.0.5.0

Monitoring enhancements include:

• The "Transactions" monitor now targets CICS rather than MicroFocus.Server.EnterpriseServer, and includes the "Transaction ABENDs" monitor, which checks for System, Timeout, and User transaction abends.
• You can now configure PCT entries with an expected maximum duration. When a transaction exceeds its threshold, a console message will be logged."

  The management packs include a new "Transaction Thresholds" monitor which detects transactions that have exceeded their time threshold.

• "JES Time Threshold" is a new monitor and checks for a job exceeding its TIME threshold.
• The "Resources" monitor now also checks for file access errors.

In addition, a new SCOM Task enables you to open a browser in the ESMAC SEP view for a selected server. The Launch MFDS task has been renamed to View Enterprise Server Administration Page.
