Step 14: Updating the System Path

Before Rumba can be used with CCIAPPC the system path must be updated so that the required Rumba run-time DLLs can be found by CCIAPPC. CCIAPPC on 32 Bit Windows uses the WCPIC32.DLL from the Rumba product to provide CPI-C APPC support.

Use one of the following methods to update the path:

• Add the \rumba\system directory to the path in the Environment section of the System settings in the Windows NT Control Panel.

  This takes effect immediately - applications subsequently started will have the correct path setting.

• Add the \rumba\system directory to the path in the autoexec.bat in Windows 95.

  Restart Windows 95 to adopt the new path setting.

• Add the \rumba\system directory to the path setting in the COBOL MFENV environment file.

  The new path will now be set when MFENV is used to set the environment for COBOL.
