Step 1: Downloading MSDLC32.EXE

The DLC driver that was released with Windows '95 is a 16-bit driver. You will need to obtain the 32-bit DLC driver for Windows '95 from Microsoft. This can be done by accessing the Microsoft web site and searching for the file named MSDLC32.EXE. After downloading the file create a diskette and extract the contents by running MSDLC32.EXE. This file is a self-extracting zip file. This diskette can then be used to add a protocol. You will need to have your original Windows '95 CD or diskettes available during the installation as the DLC protocol will require additional operating system support files to be loaded.
