Features of the License Management Facility

The License Management Facility controls and monitors the use of the development system and of any earlier Micro Focus products that you are using on the same machine. The help topics use the term 'licensed product' to refer to your COBOL development system, Studio Enterprise Edition for UNIX, and earlier Micro Focus products for UNIX.

The License Management Facility helps you ensure that users are properly licensed to use the development products. The License Management Facility:

• Makes users aware of licensing requirements.
• Enables you to monitor product usage.
• Enables you to review your licenses, and update them by redistributing existing licenses or adding new ones.
• Records data that you can use in a license audit.
