A.1 Alerts.alerts Index not getting Created while Upgrading from Sentinel 8.3.1 to 8.6.1

Issue: After upgrading from Sentinel 8.3.1 to 8.6.1, alerts.alerts index not getting created.

Fix: Perform the following steps:

  1. Ensure the external OpenSearch cluster nodes are upgraded to the supported OpenSearch version. For more information, refer to Upgrading from External Elasticsearch nodes to Opensearch nodes

  2. Restart the Sentinel server:

systemctl restart sentinel.service

or

<sentinel_installation_path>/opt/novell/sentinel/bin/server.sh restart
