1.3 Sentinel Control Center

Sentinel Control Center is used primarily for administration and configuration. Some of the actions that you can perform include:

  • Configure data collection for event sources such as Windows, database, Check Point server, and so on.

  • Add contextual information to events.

  • Configure Actions and Integrators.

  • Manage Solution Packs

You can access the Sentinel Control Center through the Sentinel Main interface.

  1. Log in to Sentinel:

    https://<IP_AddressOrDNS_Sentinel_server>:8443

    Where <IP_AddressOrDNS_Sentinel_server> is the IP address or DNS name of the Sentinel server and 8443 is the default port for the Sentinel server.

  2. Click Sentinel Main.

  3. Select the logged in user name at the top right corner and select Applications.

  4. Click Launch Control Center.

    1. When prompted, download control_center.zip and extract it.

    2. (Conditional) If the CRL feature is enabled in the Sentinel, then perform:

      1. Copy the client certificate to the machine where the SCC to be launched.

      2. Run the CRL_cilent_helper.exe file on a Windows machine or the CRL_cilent_helper.sh file on a Linux machine to add the certificate path and password.

    3. Run the launcher_controlcenter.exe file on a Windows machine or the launcher_controlcenter.sh file on a Linux machine.

    4. Click Accept or Accept Permanently to accept the security certificate.

    5. Specify a user name and password of a user that has rights to access the Sentinel Control Center, then click Login.
