Installing RDE

  1. Close all open instances of Visual Studio.
  2. Run RumbaDevelopersEditionVisualStudioAddIn.msi and follow the instructions in the Setup wizard.
  3. Open each supported Visual Studio version you want to use the RDE from, then enable the Micro Focus RDE extension via Extensions Manager.
  4. Close Visual Studio, then re-open it to start working with RDE.

The RDE extension is installed per user to each supported Visual Studio version detected on the machine.

You can remove the extension from the machine by choosing Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.

To install RDE to all supported versions of Visual Studio, use the following command:

msiexec /i <full_path_to_RumbaDevelopersEditionVisualStudioAddIn.msi> /qn
