The Web server on which you install Web-to-Host can be any HTTP based server, such as a Windows Web server, a UNIX server,
or an AS/400 (iSeries).
You must configure this Web server to allow downloads of executable files to the client. If the Web server is a Microsoft
Internet Information Server (IIS) or a Microsoft Personal Web server, execute permissions must be switched off for the server
directories that contain the Web-to-Host client
.exe files. See your Web server documentation for instructions.
You should install Web-to-Host in the root publishing directory of the Web server, or in a subdirectory configured on the
Web server. Otherwise, the product will not function. For details, consult your Web administrator or your Web server documentation.
For Microsoft IIS, this directory is usually:
c:\Inetpub\wwwroot
For Apache Server, this directory is usually:
c:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2.2\htdocs
For non-Windows servers, the installation of this version of Web-to-Host requires Oracle Java VM 1.6 and higher.
