Open a 3270 or 5250 terminal session.
The steps depend on your user interface mode.

Tap the Wrench icon and then under Tools, select File Transfer. In the Transfer dialog box, click the Settingsbutton. |
From the Protocol list, select AS/400.
Click the AS/400tab.
Transport |
TCP/IP is the only supported transfer type. |
Host TP |
Select an AS/400 data transfer transaction program to use. LIPI supports more complex SQL statements. |
National character set |
Select a character set to use for character translations during AS/400 data transfers. |
PC characters |
Select a character set. This option is relevant for data that contains characters with decimal values above 127. (ANSI and ASCII character sets have the same values for characters with decimal values from 32 – 126.) |
System name |
Type the host name to use for AS/400 data transfers. You can enter the name of the host your session is connected to or enter another host name. |
Use Windows credentials |
Use your Windows credentials instead of your AS/400 username and password to bypass being prompted when performing a data transfer. |
Username |
Enter the username you use to log on to the AS/400 to bypass being prompted for it before performing a data transfer. |
Password |
Enter the password you use to log on to the AS/400 to bypass being prompted for it before performing a data transfer. |
Advanced |
Configure advanced TCP/IP options. |
Fields |
Set format options for the database fields you receive from the host. |
Security |
Secure data communications with SOCKS or SSL/TLS. |
Startup |
Set the amount of time Reflection should wait for a host response when attempting to connect. Select a value between 1-9999. |
Response |
Set the amount of time Reflection should wait for a host response. Select a value between 1-9999. |
