PlateSpin Transformation Manager discovers available virtual private clouds for the target AWS Cloud platform. VPCs vary according to the AWS Cloud selected for the platform. The permissions of the AWS account might also influence the virtual private clouds available for the platform.
For an AWS Platform, the Virtual Private Cloud tab displays the following information for each discovered VPC:
The parent region for the network in the AWS Cloud for the target platform. For example: Central US, West US, or North Europe.
The available IPv4 address space for the network, expressed in CIDR notation.
The available IPv4 address space for the network, expressed in CIDR notation.
Tenancy Indicates the type of hardware to use for the target VMs:
Shared hardware (default)
Dedicated hardware
Dedicated host (a specific host or auto-placement)
The subnets available in the network. Select Subnets, then choose the VPC to view a list of its member subnets and information about them.
For an AWS Platform, the Edit VPC dialog displays the following information for a specified virtual private cloud:
The parent target platform for the VPC.
The name of the VPC in the target platform environment.
(Optional) Specify a brief description of the VPC. This text appears by default in the VPCs list.
A list of the workloads that have been configured to use the VPC in Manual (tracking) mode.
