2.2 Accessing the Web Interface

During the Appliance installation, you set up the default System Administrator user account for the Web Interface. This user has system-wide permissions for the PTM Server application. Log in as the System Administrator to create accounts for other users and assign roles to them. Access control and data visibility are role-based.

To log in to the Web Interface:

  1. In a supported web browser, launch the PTM Server Web Interface:

    • https://<ptm-server-dns-name_or_ipaddress>:8183 (secure, default)
    • http://<ptm-server-dns-name_or_ipaddress>:8182 (not secure, disabled by default)

  2. Specify the email address and password of your PTM user account, then click Log In.
