A non-OES target is a CIFS/SMB share (or its subdirectory) on a Windows/NetApp server. The Windows/NetApp server must be in the same AD tree as the OES server's NSS volume (with AD enabled) where the junction is created.
Create a junction pointing to non-OES SMB target.
Verify whether the NSS volume is AD enabled or not.
If the NSS volume is not AD enabled, complete the following steps:
Create an AD user with the same name and password as the existing eDir user.
Assign minimum of Read and File Scan trustee rights for eDir user on the junction and required rights on the non-OES target.
If the NSS volume is AD enabled, complete the following steps:
Create an AD user.
Assign minimum of Read and File Scan trustee rights on the junction and required rights on the non-OES target for AD user.
Access the DFS Junction from the Windows Client.
