11.3 Changing Firewall State Causes Communication Failure

If you modify the firewall state on any one of the nodes, the OpenSearch service communication between the infrastructure HA nodes may fail.

To resolve this issue, complete the following steps on any of the nodes:

  1. Stop the infrastructure services.

    cis_ext_services.sh stop

  2. Ensure the infrastructure state is down.

    cis_ext_services.sh status

  3. Start the infrastructure service.

    cis_ext_services.sh start
