11.16 Creating DFS Junction Pointing to Non-OES Targets

  1. Create a junction pointing to non-OES SMB target.

  2. Verify whether the NSS volume is AD enabled or not.

    1. If the NSS volume is not AD enabled, complete the following steps:

      1. Create an AD user with the same name and password as the existing eDir user.

      2. Assign minimum of Read and File Scan trustee rights for eDir user on the junction and required rights on the non-OES target.

    2. If the NSS volume is AD enabled, complete the following steps:

      1. Create an AD user.

      2. Assign minimum of Read and File Scan trustee rights on the junction and required rights on the non-OES target for AD user.

  3. Access the DFS Junction from the Window Client.

NOTE:OpenText has certified the following non-OES targets: Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, and NetApp 9.12.1 target types.
