OpenText supports four OES services running on a Xen VM host server: Linux User Management, Storage Management Services, Cluster Services, and iPrint.
Having these components installed on a Xen VM host server provides the following benefits:
Linux User Management (LUM): Lets you SSH into the server for management purposes by using an eDirectory user account.
This functionality requires that you
Enable SSH communications through any firewalls that are running on the server
Configure LUM to allow SSH as a LUM-enabled service. For more information see Section 9.5.2, Setting Up SSH Access for LUM-enabled eDirectory Users.
Storage Management Services (SMS): Lets you back up VM host server file system data.
Cluster Services (NCS): Lets you cluster the VM host.
OpenText iPrint: Lets you print from the host.
