5.8 Patching OES Cluster Services

You should stop OES Cluster Services when applying maintenance patches for OES Cluster Services.

  1. Log in to the node as the root user, then open a terminal console.

  2. Use the cluster leave command to remove the node from the cluster.

  3. Stop OES Cluster Services by entering

    rcnovell-ncs stop

    or

    systemctl stop novell-ncs.service

  4. Apply the latest patches for OES and OES Cluster Services.

  5. Start OES Cluster Services by entering

    rcnovell-ncs start

    or

    systemctl start novell-ncs.service
