NSS 64-bit ZID Support (Enhanced): Beginning with this patch, NSS allows you to configure the ZID mode to Zid32 or Zid64 for local and shared volumes. It also provides an option to verify whether the volume is 64-bit ZID enabled or not.
For more information, see Section 19.19, Setting and Viewing the ZID Mode for a Volume.
The nss utility has been enhanced to provide an option to force enable the ZID64 mode at a volume level. For more information, see nss /ForceVolumeZID64Mode=volumename.
IMPORTANT:When you access the NSS volume with ZID value greater than the 32-bit limit using AFP, users might experience abnormal behavior while performing the file operations on that volume because of Apple Filing Protocol (AFP) limitation. Therefore, administrators must ensure that AFP users have access to only those NSS volumes with ZID value less than the 32-bit limit. For more information, see AFP Known Issue in the OES 2018 SP3: OES AFP for Linux Administration Guide.
