Ensure that you have completed the instructions in Section 8.8.1, Setting Up SUSE Manager and patched the OES server with the latest patches.
Perform the service pack migration:
Log in to the SUSE Manager Web console with administrative credentials.
Click System, then select the OES server to be migrated.
Click Software > SP Migration and verify the information of the installed product (OES 2018 SP2) and target product (OES 2018 SP3).
Click on Select Channels to view the target channels, make sure all mandatory channels has been selected if not select manually.
Click Schedule Migration > Confirm.
After the support pack migration action completion, reboot the OES server.
Log in to the OES server, run the yast2 repositories command.
From the repositories, remove the OES 2018 SP2 installation sources (if present), then add the OES 2018 SP3 installation sources.
IMPORTANT: Run the following command to complete the OES services reconfiguration:
yast2 channel-upgrade-oes
This will prompt for eDirectory or DSfW password if the answer file is not created. Provide the password and continue. For more information on creating the answer file, see Section 5.5.2, Creating an Answer File to Provide the eDirectory and DSfW Passwords.
A Program Improvement screen is displayed if this is the first server that is upgrading to OES 2018 SP3. For more information, see Section 3.14, Product Improvement.
