6.5 Migrating to iPrint Appliance 4.x

iPrint 4.x is only available as an online update to iPrint 4.0. To update to iPrint Appliance 4.x, do the following:

  1. Ensure that the version of iPrint Appliance is 4.0.

  2. Log in to the Appliance Configuration Console (https://appliance_ip_or_dns:9443).

  3. Click Online Update.

  4. In the Patches drop-down option, select Needed Patches. The patches to be updated are listed.

  5. Click Update Now.

    NOTE:If you have multiple patches listed along with iPrint Appliance 4.1 Update, then Update Now will apply only the 4.1 Update. You will again have to click Update Now to apply the remaining patches.

  6. The update might require a appliance restart, Click OK.

    A progress bar displays the status of the update. After the update completes, select the Installed Patches option in the drop-down and verify that the installed patch is listed there.

  7. On successfully applying the updates, you must reboot the appliance.
