InfoConnect Enterprise Edition 9.6 Service Pack 1 Release Notes

InfoConnect Enterprise Edition 9.6 Service Pack 1 includes several improvements and a number of software fixes and enhancements. Many of these improvements were made in direct response to suggestions from our customers. We thank you for your time and valuable input. 1.0 What’s New

InfoConnect Enterprise Edition 9.6 Service Pack 1 includes the following new features and resolved issues.

1.1 9.6 Service Pack 1 Fixes and Enhancements

  • The Productivity panel is now hidden by default to increase the terminal window.

  • The crypto module in InfoConnect Enterprise has now been submitted for FIPS 140-2 validation.

  • Improved product security by addressing Fortify On Demand code analysis results.

  • The Extra basic engine can now accommodate macros larger than 64k.

  • The installation process has been enhanced from providing zip files to self extracting executables.

1.2 Resolved Issues

  • Resolved performance issues with 5250 HLLAPI Connect and Sendkey return times in a keyboard lock condition.

  • Fixed a run-time error when a VBA application calls EXTRA COM.

  • Improved how an Extra! Basic Header (*.EBH) file is saved to preserve all characters.

  • The copy and paste toolbar buttons are now usable in a 6530 session.

  • Resolved upgrade issues that previously switched user and log directories.

2.0 Obtaining and Installing Extra!

Maintained customers are eligible to download InfoConnect Enterprise Edition 9.6 Service Pack 1 from the Downloads website.

To use the Office integration features in InfoConnect Enterprise Edition, Microsoft Office 2013 or later must be installed.

NOTE:InfoConnect Enterprise Edition is a 32-bit application that can run in the 64-bit Windows environments listed above.
