Session Trace Options Dialog Box
How do I get to this dialog box?
-
From InfoConnect Manager, choose Administrator > Administrator Login and enter your password.
-
Choose Administer and then Trace.
-
In the Trace Log Options dialog box, clear Hide Trace Window.
-
Click OK. This opens the InfoConnect Trace Library window (minimized). Use the icon on the Windows taskbar to view the library window.
-
From the Options menu, select Session Trace.
Use Session Trace Options to determine which sessions are traced and to set the tracing level. If a new session belongs to more than one category (for example, All Paths and Template with Trace ) the highest level of trace will be used.
By default all new sessions are traced at the highest level.
**Enable Session Trace ** | Must be selected to enable any level of session tracing. |
**All Paths ** | Trace all sessions. (Sessions that are already active when tracing is enabled will not be traced by the Trace Library.) |
**Paths with Trace ** | Trace sessions that use a path in which the Trace option is enabled. (Set this option in the Add or Modify Path Dialog Box. |
**Template with Trace ** | Trace sessions tare an instance of a path that were configured with a template that has the Trace option enabled. (Set this option in the Add or Modify Path Templates Dialog Box. |
The following trace levels are available for each category.
**None ** | No tracing; the Trace Library will not be inserted on the sessions library stack. |
**Application ** | The Trace Library will be inserted between the top of the sessions library stack and the application. |
**Library ** | Highest level of tracing; the Trace Library will be inserted between all libraries on the sessions library stack. It will also be inserted between the application and the top of the library stack. |
