Add or Modify Path Dialog Box
To configure a new path

From InfoConnect Manager, click Path in the left pane.

Click Add.

Select a template and click OK.
To modify an existing path

From InfoConnect Manager, click Path in the left pane.

Select a configured path and click Modify.
Path ID | (required) The Path ID is a unique identifier for this configuration. |
Description | (optional) Both Path ID and Description are visible in the InfoConnect Workspace when users create ALC, UTS, and T27 terminal sessions. |
Application Type | The name of the application or class of applications that can use this path. For most paths, the application type is the id of some library. For system paths the application type is the name of the EIL of the higher level path that uses the system path.The default is determined by the application configured for the path template. |
Path Template | The current template type. Click Configure to edit the settings for this path. (The options you see depend on the template type.) |
Channel | (INT1 only) If you are logged in as an administrator, you can click Configure Channel to modify the selected channel. Note that these channel settings may be in use by other paths. |
Path Options | Traced - Enables logging of diagnostic information about sessions that use this path. After enabling tracing, use the Info Connect Manager Trace Log Options dialog box to enable tracing. Tracing must be enabled before you start a session. |
Hidden - Paths marked as hidden are not include in the list of paths visible to users creating new sessions in the Workspace. | |
System - System templates reference a library rather than an accessory. These are used for low-level paths that are used as transport layer for higher-level paths. System paths should also be marked as hidden. | |
The Hidden and System template attributes determine which templates are visible in the Database Editor Connection type list for non-administrative users. |
