Permissions Manager
How do I get to this dialog box?
- Run
AccessConfig.exe
. You can do this by double-clicking the file in the InfoConnect installation folder, or by entering the filename in the Windows Search programs and filesbox.
Use Permissions Manager to restrict access to InfoConnect features. After you select the features you want to disable, your specifications are saved in .access
files that you can deploy to users.
Note
You can restrict access to InfoConnect controls only on systems on which the Windows User Access Control (UAC) is enabled. If the UAC is disabled, the configuration settings that restrict access do not apply.
Items in Permissions Manager are organized as follows:
File type | Sets the scope of the restrictions: Actions, Application Access, or a terminal session type. | The actions.access and application.access files configure settings that apply to all sessions. Other *.access files configure settings that apply to each terminal session type. |
Groups | The feature group to configure.
Items | Lists the configurable items within the selected group.
Item | The name of the item.
Accessibility | The security level of the item.
