OS2200 Settings

Use these settings to specify options for communicating with the OS 2200 Editor during a file transfer. You should be able to transfer files without making any modifications to the default configuration. However, you can customize the configuration to optimize performance.

Options

Tab character Type the character in the PC file that will be converted to a tab character when the file is uploaded to the OS 2200 Editor. Once this character is converted to a tab on the OS 2200 Editor, it cannot be converted back to the original character. If you do not want to convert any characters in the PC file to tab characters, type a character that does not exist in the PC file, such as.
Transfer time out Type the number of seconds (0-100) that the file transfer protocol will wait for a host response before canceling the transfer.
Automatic recovery Select this option to restore the original version of the OS 2200 Editor file that was being modified when a connection with the OS 2200 Editor is broken. If you select this option, the file that was last in use on the OS 2200 Editor is restored and appears in the session window, even if it is not the file that you currently want to upload or download. If you clear this option, the prompt asking you whether to recover the file remains on the screen until you respond to it.
Suppress display Select this option if you do not want the contents of the file to appear on the screen while the file is being transferred. If you clear this option, the contents of the file appears on the screen.
When local file exists Specify the default action to use if a file with the same name as the one you are transferring already exists on the PC. The option you select here will be selected by default in the Receive File and Send File dialog box. If you select None, no default action is selected.
