Approving Analysis Results for an Application Version

Depending on the processing rules configured for an application versionA particular iteration of the analysis of a codebase as it applies to Fortify Software Security Center. An application always begins with a first version. An administrator adds new versions, as needed., analysis resultsThe information reported by Fortify Software Security Center. Analysis results are viewed, uploaded, and managed from the Analysis Results tab of the Artifacts page. may require approval. (See Setting Analysis Results Processing Rules for Application Versions.) If analysis results do require approval, this is indicated in the Status column of the ARTIFACT HISTORY table and by an alert icon () next to the version name in the Applications view.

To approve analysis results for an applicationA customer codebase evaluated by Fortify software. The top-level container for one or more application versions. When you work with a new codebase, the application and first application version are automatically created. An application includes one or more application versions that users create and configure. version:

1. In the Applications view, expand the application row, move your cursor to the version number, and then select Artifacts from the shortcut menu.

   The ARTIFACT HISTORY table lists all scan artifacts uploaded for the selected application version.

2. In the Status column, expand the row with the value Requires Approval.

3. At the bottom of the expanded section, click APPROVE.

   The APPROVE UPLOAD OF ANALYSIS RESULTS dialog box opens. The Processing Messages section shows an explanation of what, specifically, triggered the approval requirement.

4. In the Approval Comment box, type a comment to indicate why you are approving these results.

5. Click APPROVE.

The artifact is sent for processing.
