Platform and System Requirements

.NET Core

All components using .NET target .the .NET Core 7 runtime. Depending on the component, it may require either the Desktop or ASP.NET runtime.

Each File Dynamics package installer will install any necessary .NET Core system runtime. In cases where Internet access is not available, you must install the required .NET runtime as indicated below.

Supported Databases

SQL Server

This release of File Dynamics requires an instance of Microsoft SQL Server. The following editions of SQL Server are supported with this release.

 

Supported SQL Server Versions

  • SQL Server 2022

  • SQL Server 2019

NOTE: SQL Server 2017 works with this release but is considered deprecated.

 

Supported SQL Server Editions

  • SQL Server Enterprise

  • SQL Server Standard

  • SQL Server Express

NOTE: Due to size restrictions with SQL Server Express, consider using SQL Server Standard or Enterprise for larger deployments.

CouchDB

File Dynamics 6.6 has been tested with the latest releases of CouchDB 3.3.x and 3.2.x.

NOTE: While previous versions may continue to work, we strongly recommend upgrading to a current supported version found on the CouchDB download site https://couchdb.apache.org/#download.
