Roles and permissions: Analyze
File Analysis Suite includes default roles at the Analyze application level. You can edit these default roles to modify permissions, or you can create your own roles with the desired permissions. In either case, the access and actions associated with the permissions cannot be changed.
When editing the default roles or creating your own, it is important to understand the permissions and how applying them affects users' capabilities within Analyze.

| Apply and remove tags |
User can apply tags to and remove tags from items. NOTE: Must also have the Preview documents permission to be able to view item content. |
| Download documents |
User can download items. NOTE: Must also have the Preview documents permission to be able to view item content. |
| Preview documents |
User can view the content of items. When not selected, document view options that include the document preview panel are not available to the user. |
| Research | User can view, search, and export documents to CSV, as well as save a search results list as a workspace. |
| View dashboards |
User can view all data available in the dashboards. |
| View entity values | User can view the values of identified entities. |
