Use the options in the Zmodem General page to set your Zmodem file transfer options. If you have already selected Zmodem as your File Transfer Protocol, you can access the File Transfer Zmodem General page by choosing Settings from the Options menu. Otherwise, choose Session Type from the Options menu and change your File Transfer Protocol, then choose Settings.
Before you can transfer files with Zmodem, the host Zmodem protocol must be running. Issue the appropriate command at the host before attempting to transfer files.
Table 6-15
Options |
Description |
---|---|
Packet Size |
Specifies the amount of data to send between error checks. Large packet sizes can increase throughput on data links that are known to be relatively error-free, but can slow throughput due to error-correction if lines are noisy. |
Max Errors |
Type the number of consecutive errors to allow before aborting a file transfer. The default is 20. If you select 0, the transfer continues regardless of the number of accumulated errors. |
Autostart |
Select this option to start receiving files when a special Zmodem code (a ZRQINIT packet) is received. |
Check File Size When Receiving Finishes |
Compares the received file size with the file size information supplied by the host. The default is Off. |
