Settings

Descriptions

(Mouse action list)

Displays all the mouse actions that can be mapped to commands, macros, or keyboard sequences.

Use Default

Sets the mapping for the mouse button to the default action.

Reset All

Resets the mapping for all mouse buttons to the default actions.

Change Mapping To

Displays actions that can be mapped to the selected mouse action.

Select Keys

Displays the Map Keystrokes dialog box. On the Action page, you can assign keystroke sequences to the selected mouse button.

Select Macro

Displays the Map Macro dialog box. On the Action page, you can assign macros to the selected mouse button.

Select Command

Displays the Map Command dialog box. On the Action page, you can assign menu commands to the selected mouse button.

Currently Mapped To

Displays the action that the selected mouse action currently performs.

To assign a keystroke sequence to a mouse button

  1. From the Options menu, choose the Settings command.

    The Settings dialog box is displayed.

  2. Select the Mouse Map category, then select a mouse action from the list.

    The Currently Mapped To box shows you the current mapping of the selected action.

  3. In the Change Mapping To list box, select Keyboard Sequences.

  4. Choose the Select Keys button and the Map Keystrokes dialog box opens.

    On the Action page, the default category, Miscellaneous, and default command, Send Keys, are selected as the only available actions to be performed when you use the mouse button.

  5. In the Display list box, select a display type. In the Display Keys list box, keys are shown for the keyboard of the current terminal type.

  6. Select a key, double-click the selected key, or click the Add to Keystrokes button.

    The key, or keys, are added to the Keystrokes text box.

  7. Click OK.

    The keys you have selected appear in the Currently Mapped To box in the Settings – Mouse Map dialog box and are identified as user-selected keys to be sent to the host.

To assign a macro to a mouse button

  1. From the Options menu, choose the Settings command.

    The Settings dialog box is displayed.

  2. Select the Mouse Map category, then select a mouse action from the list.

    The Currently Mapped To box shows you the current mapping of the selected action.

  3. In the Change Mapping To list box, select Macro.

  4. Choose the Select Macro button and the Map Macro dialog box opens.

    On the Action page, the default category, Macros, and default command, Run Macro, are selected as the only available actions to be performed when you use the mouse button.

  5. In the Macro list box, select a macro, and then click OK. If you have macros stored in a different directory, you can choose the Browse button to find that location.

    The macro you have selected appears in the Currently Mapped To box in the Settings – Mouse Map dialog box.

To assign a menu command to a mouse button

  1. From the Options menu, choose the Settings command.

    The Settings dialog box is displayed.

  2. Select the Mouse Map category, then select a mouse action from the list.

    The Currently Mapped To box shows you the current mapping of the selected action.

  3. In the Change Mapping To list box, select Menu Command.

  4. Choose the Select Command button and the Map Command dialog box opens.

  5. On the Action page, select a Category and a Command from that Category for the action to be performed when you use the mouse button.

  6. Click OK.

    The command you select appears in the Currently Mapped To box in the Settings – Mouse Map dialog box.
