Use this dialog box to select the size of the cursor, select the type of host attributes you want to use, specify the width of your 5250 display session and choose column separator position and height.

Cursor and Rule Line Options |
Select options that affect the type and appearance of the terminal screen cursor and rule line. |
Cursor Type |
Select the type of cursor to use in the terminal screen. Choose from Terminal Controlled, Underline, Half Block, or Full Block. |
Rule Line Type |
Sets the style of the rule line. Rule lines display to provide a visual cue of your location on the screen. You can select a vertical line, a horizontal line, or both vertical and horizontal lines (cross). |
Rule Line Style |
Specify whether the rule line should be a solid or dotted line. |
Show Cursor Blinking |
If selected, this option indicates that you want a blinking cursor. If not selected, the cursor will be solid. |
Move Rule Line With Cursor |
If selected, indicates that the rule line should follow the cursor. If not selected, the rule line will not move with the cursor, but can be positioned by selecting the Rule Lines option from the View menu in the session. |
Show Blinking Text |
Shows blinking text set by host attributes. |
Show Attributes |
Selects the type of characters that will be used to indicate where text formatting begins and ends. |
Normal |
Display attributes appear as normal text before and after each field in the display session. |
Hexadecimal |
Display attributes appear as small hexadecimal numbers before and after each field in the display session. |
Display Column Separator |
Shows or hides the column separator: |
Enable |
Shows column separators as symbols on both sides of a column of text. |

Sets the Column Separator type. |
Half Height |
Uses a Half-height column separator. |
Full Height |
Uses a Full-height column separator. |
Status Line |
Selects the type of status line for the 5250 display session 5250, 3487, or None. |
Status Line (list) |
Selects the type of status line for the 5250 display session. 5250:Use status line codes as they would appear on a 5250 terminal display. 3487:Use status line codes as they would appear on a 3487 terminal display. None: No status line appears. |
To define settings for 5250 display sessions
From the Edit or Options menu, choose Settings.
Choose Display from the Category list to open the Settings - 5250 Display pages.
From the General page, set the appropriate display session options.
From the Host Code Page, set the appropriate host code options.
From the Advanced Page, set the appropriate options.
Choose OK when you have finished defining your display settings.
