The Settings-Colors page is used to change the colors of your display screen and create color schemes that you can use with any session.

Displays the color of the item currently selected on the "host monitor" graphic for the foreground and background of your display. Clicking the Foreground or Background box (depending on what you want to change) displays a small color palette from which you can select a different color, or create a custom color. |

Host List |
Shows the display areas and colors that can be changed. Once you have selected an item from this list box or from the monitor above, and selected a new color from the Foreground or Background Color palette, that item displays in the new color. |

Color Mode |
Lists the color options for mapping display colors for protected and unprotected host fields. |

Maps colors to protected and unprotected host field attributes. |

Use Terminal-Style Cursor Color |
When selected, the cursor color setting does not appear in either the monitor control or the corresponding combo box, and the (full/half) block cursor color is determined by swapping the foreground and background colors of the current cursor location (for example, if the cursor is currently green-on-black, it will become black-on-green). NOTE:The underline cursor will always be black-on-white, unless the background color at the current location is white, in which case the underline cursor will be white-on-black. |
NOTE:A host application designates fields as protected or unprotected. Protected fields are those in which the user may not enter data; unprotected fields are designed for user input. These fields can be either normal (for example, white on black) or high (for example, shock neon orange on black).
To change 3270 host screen colors
From the Options menu, choose Settings.
From the Categories list, choose Colors.
On the General page, from either the host monitor or the drop-down list beneath it, select the display area or color you want to change.
Select the Foreground Color or Background Color (depending on what you are changing).
A small color palette displays from which you can select a new color.
