3.8.2 Settings - Productivity Spelling Page

Use the Spelling page to set criteria for the spelling checker. Using spelling options, you can specify several ways to check spelling as you type, or correct spelling automatically. Available in 3270 and 5250 sessions only. As you type, the spelling checker checks the text, and then marks possible errors with wavy underlines. To correct an error, place the cursor over the marked word, click the right mouse button to display a popup menu and select the correction you want. If you find the wavy underlines distracting, you can clear the Check Spelling as You Type check box to hide them temporarily, until you're ready to make corrections. To fix spelling errors without having to confirm each correction, use the automatic correction option. For example, if you type definately and then type a space or other punctuation, the automatic correction feature replaces it with definitely. The automatic correction feature can make corrections that are generated by the spelling checker's custom dictionary.
