To print text or graphics with a command
From the File menu choose Print Screen.
Choose the destination Printer and complete the Print Settings section of the dialog box.
NOTE:For the image to be saved and ready for printing, the Backing Store method must be selected before you display the images you want to print (Settings - Display Graphics page).
Graphics printing options on the Printer page are available only for VT 340 sessions.
To print text with a keypress
In a VT session, press F2.
-or-
In a Wyse session, in the Settings - Keyboard Map General page, select PrintScreen Key Enable. This maps the Print Screen function to the PRINT SCREEN key on your keyboard. Then you can press PRINT SCREEN to print the screen.
By default, headers and footers are also printed. To change your headers and footers or to disable header and footer printing, from the File menu, choose Print Screen. In the Print Screen dialog box, choose Print Settings. In the Print Settings dialog box, edit or clear the Header Text and Footer Text fields.
To automatically print screen data (Auto print)
From the Options menu, choose Settings.
Under Categories, choose Display.
Choose the Printer tab.
To manually switch to Auto Print, from the Mode drop-down list, select Auto Print.
Headers and footers are not printed in Auto print mode.
NOTE:This mode is usually entered on a control sequence sent by the host.
To flush accumulated print data from the print buffers
From the File menu, choose Finish Printing.
This forces immediate printing of accumulated printer data from the print buffers and sends the data to the Windows printing spooler or the printer.
NOTE:This affects only Print Screen, Printer Controller mode, and Auto print. The action taken depends on the type of printer configured. At the end of a flush, the printer driver usually sends a form feed to the printer, causing it to eject the last page.
To set the interval of idle time after which to print buffered data
From the Options menu, choose Settings.
Under Categories, choose Display.
Choose the Printer tab.
For data that arrives quickly, or for a single use printer, set the Finish Printing Idle Timer to a small interval. This flushes the print buffer frequently.
-or-
For data that arrives slowly, or for a network printer, set the timer to a large value. This prints data less often than a small interval.
NOTE:If you print to a shared or network printer, you can save all your print jobs and print them at the end of your session. Just set the idle time to a very large interval. Then, if you need to force output to the printer, choose Finish Printing from the File menu.
To disable the Finish Printing Idle Timer
From the Options menu, choose Settings.
Under Categories, choose Display.
Choose the Printer tab.
In the Finish Printing Idle Timer drop-down list, select Manual.
NOTE:This disables the timer. When you want to send accumulated print data to the printer, choose Finish Printing from the File menu.
