Use this dialog to create a standalone connection to an AS/400 host.

Creates a new standalone connection to an AS/400 host. |
Edit button |
Edits the connection currently selected in the Configured Systems list. |

Test Connection |
Tests the standalone connection currently selected in the Configured Systems list. Test progress is displayed in AS/400 Test Connection dialog. This dialog box also logs the status of the connection attempt, and lets you retry the test. |
Set Selected Host as the Default Host System |
Assigns the host connection currently selected in the Configured Systems list as the default. |
Connection Preference |
Selects either APPC or Direct TCP/IP connectivities. |
APPC |
Lets you choose among available APPC type connectivities. |
Direct TCP/IP |
Lets you choose among available Direct TCP/IP type connectivities. |
Request Server Mapper for Port Settings |
Allows a more flexible port number assignment to any of the individual host servers other then the Server Mapper which uses a "well-known" port number (449 TPC). |
