If an error occurs setting up the restart of a job, one of the following codes might be returned. The table shows the return code, a summary of the reason for the error, and the corresponding message code.

| 222 | Could not find JESYSMSG spool record for original job | JES000045 |
| 223 | Could not get catalog record of JESYSMSG for original job | JES000046 |
| 224 | Unable to load original job Cond Codes | JES000047 |
| 225 | Unable to store Cond Codes for new job | JES000048 |
| 226 | New job and old job are not the same | JES000061 |
| 227 | Unable to store restart GDG information for new job | JES000062 |
| 228 | Could not find a restartable step | JES000063 |
