The Console log contains the activity of your
enterprise server region since startup, showing all processes leading up to a failure. It is automatically generated during each server session.
- Uses
- Start your troubleshooting by reviewing this log to see what errors occurred, when they occurred, and the process ID and timestamp
for each. Compare this information to output from other diagnostic tools to determine which errors match up with the activity
reported by those other tools.

At startup, an
enterprise server region renames the most recent
console.log file to
console.bak, overwriting any existing
console.bak file.
Important: When gathering information for a
Customer Care case, include both the
console.log and
console.bak files. Be sure to back these up before restarting the server after a failure.
