Use this page to verify the configuration of selected components for the enterprise server region.
Click
Verify to open the
Region Verify Options dialog box and select from the verification options.
Click
Run to initiate the verification process.
Click
Stop Polling at any time during the verification process to stop polling the
enterprise server region.
- Start Mode
- Verifies the enterprise server region in the context of how it is to be started in a Performance and Availability Cluster
(PAC) environment:
- Warm
- Check this to verify the region in the context of a PAC warm start.
- Cold
- Check this to verify the region in the context of a PAC cold start.
- Upgrade
- Check this to verify the region in the context of a PAC upgrade start.
- Use current user credentials
- Verified the region as the user you have already logged in as.
- User Name
- Specify the username of the user you want to verify the region as.
- Password
- Specify the password of the user you want to verify the region as.
- Group
- The sign-on group for the user. By default, when a user requests access to a resource, some external security managers only
apply rules that refer to that user and the user's current sign-on group. If this option is not specified, the user is signed
on with a default group as determined by the security manager.
- Verbosity
- Specifies the verbosity of the logging:
- Info
- Outputs all information, warning, error, and severe messages.
- Warning
- Outputs all warning, error, and severe messages.
- Error
- Outputs all error and severe messages.
- Severe
- Outputs only severe messages.
Note: The default value is
Info, which will output all information, warning, error, and severe messages.
- Abort Level
- The verification process will abort on the first occurrence of a:
- Warning
- Aborts on the first occurrence of a warning, error, severe, or fatal message.
- Error
- Aborts on the first occurrence of an error, severe, or fatal message.
- Severe
- Aborts on the first occurrence of a severe or fatal message.
- Fatal
- Aborts on the first occurrence of a fatal message.
- Stages
- Specify a list of verification stages to execute. This can be a single stage-id or a comma separated list of stage-id. If
this field is not specified the default action will run all stages.
- Poll for
- Specify the total number of seconds to poll for changes.
- Poll every
- Specify the interval to poll for changes in seconds.
Stages and Steps
The results of the verification are displayed in a table with the following columns:
- ID
- Grouped by the stage-id specified in the Stages field. Each stage can contain a single or sequence of verification steps.
If the stage contained a sequence of steps then you can expand the stage to view the results for each step.
- Name
- A descriptive name of the stage or step being verified.
- Status
- Displays the summary status for the stage or component step:
- Complete
- Verification completed and encountered only information or warning messages.
- Skipped
- This status occurs when the stage is not applicable to the region, for example, when a stage or feature is not enabled. It
can also occur when a stage has a dependency that was not fulfilled, or a prerequisite errors. For example, an error occurs
with a control block.
- Failed
- An error, severe, or fatal message was encountered.
- Severity
- Displays the most severe message type encountered:
- Info
- Warning
- Error
- Severe
- Fatal
- Message ID
- The ID that corresponds to the most severe message that was encountered.
- Message
- The message text that corresponds to the most severe message that was encountered.
