Note: To complete this task, you must have administrator privileges to the
Enterprise Developer installation directory.
- Specify the EBCDIC CCSID in the SIT. See
To specify a CCSID table in the CICS SIT for details.
- Code a COBOL module named MFCCSIDMAP, inserting the following code:
linkage section.
01 lk-ccsid pic x(4) comp-5.
procedure division using by reference lk-ccsid.
if lk-ccsid = EBCDIC-CCSID
move ASCII-CCSID to lk-ccsid
end-if
goback.
Where
EBCDIC-CCSID is the CSSID specified in the SIT and
ASCII-CCSID is the corresponding ASCII CCSID.
- Compile MFCCSIDMAP to a
dynamic link library (.dll) (Windows) or
shared library (.so) (UNIX) file, using the
charset(ASCII) and
dialect(MF) directives.
- Make a backup copy of the existing
MFCCSIDMAP.dll (Windows) or
MFCCSIDMAP.so (UNIX) files located by default in
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\bin and
\bin64
(Windows) or
$COBDIR/bin (UNIX).
- Copy your new MFCCSIDMAP compiled program files to the
%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\bin and
\bin64 directories respectively (Windows) or
$COBDIR/bin (UNIX) directory, overwriting the existing files.
