Restriction: This topic applies only when the AppMaster Builder AddPack has been installed, and applies only to Windows platforms.
The information stored as AppMaster Builder preferences is used as you develop and generate all AMB applications. You set
these preferences on a global level, meaning they apply to all applications in the current AMB project. The AppMaster Builder
preferences include:
- AppMaster Builder
- Set your current project and user area directories, enable a workgroup, and optionally specify an
Enterprise Developer project in which to compile generated code.
- Customization
- Select a method for loading and expanding applications, set tooltip options, and set Job Queue options.
- Data View
- Set a generation option for SQL data views.
- Editors
- Set options for the Data Structure, Program, and Report Painters.
- Environment
- Optionally set a database directory and alternate directories for file storage.
- International
- Set preferences that apply to the language used in your code.
- Job Queue
- Set preferences that affect the Job Queue.
- Logging
- Enable or disable run-time logging.
- Mainframe Access
- Set preferences for accessing mainframe resources.
- DB2 Connection
- Define and set a DB2 connection to use with SQL data views.

- Set options for generated code.
- Tooltip
- Set color preferences for tooltips.
