Depending on the TN3270 debugging settings you have set and on the last state of the mainframe display, the display either
launches automatically when debugging starts, or you need to launch it manually.
Restriction: The embedded Rumba Mainframe Display is only available in Visual Studio 2017 and 2019, and is not available in Visual Studio
2022. In Visual Studio 2022 you need to use the standalone
Rumba+ Desktop application.
The IDE preserves the last state, size, and position of the embedded Rumba Mainframe Display:
- If the embedded Rumba Mainframe Display is open when debugging ends, it opens automatically next time you start debugging.
- If you close the embedded Rumba Mainframe Display, the session is still connected until debugging ends.
