Generate Web Service dialog box - CICS COBOL

From: WSDL only. The name of the WSDL file that describes the Web service.
WSDL Service: WSDL only. For WSDL files that define more than one service, select a service from the drop-down list. The default is the first service defined in the WSDL file.
WSDL Port: WSDL only. If the selected WSDL Service defines more than one port, select a port from the drop-down list. The default is the first port defined in the WSDL file for the selected service.
(For request): JSON only. The name of a request JSON Schema file that defines an input data structure, or the name of a JSON Schema file that defines both input and output data structures.
Operation(s): From the drop-down list, check one or more operations found in the WSDL file or JSON Schema. The default is All. For WSDL, only operations corresponding to the selected WSDL Port are listed.
(For response): JSON only. The name of a response JSON Schema file that defines an output data structure or, if using a JSON Schema file that defines both input and output data structures, <None>.

Generate group

Service: Generate a service interface file and skeleton COBOL program. Also enables the Name field below.
Name: The name of the generated service interface file. The default is the name of the WSDL or JSON file selected. Available only when Service is selected.
Client: Generate a skeleton CICS client application.

Program group

Name

The name of the generated COBOL program file without the file extension.

Default string length

The default string length in the generated service or client.

Inline array size limit

The minimum size an array can be for it to be generated as a separate structure. Each array with an OCCURS clause set to a size equal to or larger than the minimum set here is generated as a separate structure for dynamic allocation. While you can manually enter any numeric value from 0 (zero) to 32767 inclusive, you can also select from the following options on the drop-down list:

No separate structures (0)

All variable arrays are generated inline within the main structure. Default.

All arrays, including optional fields (1)

All variable arrays are generated as separate structures for dynamic allocation.

All arrays, excluding optional fields (2)

All variable arrays, except those that occur at most once, are generated as separate structures for dynamic allocation. Arrays that occur at most once are generated into the main structure.

Only unbounded arrays (32767)

Only unbounded arrays are generated as separate structures for dynamic allocation.

Associated instance group

Name: The name of the enterprise server instance associated with the project.
Start: Starts the enterprise server instance shown in the Name field.
Restart: If its status is started, restarts the enterprise server instance shown in the Name field.
Status: Shows the state of the enterprise server instance - started or stopped.
CICS Support: Shows the status of CICS support for the enterprise server instance - enabled or disabled.
CICS web service: Shows the status of the Web service - enabled or disabled.
message area: Shows validation messages pertaining to the status and configuration of the associated enterprise server instance.
Note: A full list of messages can be found in the Eclipse Console window once the enterprise server instance is started.

Validation result group

Name/Message list: Shows the result of the validation, including informational messages and warning messages .
Copy All: Copies all messages to the clipboard.
Copy Selection: Copies selected messages to the clipboard.

Default array size

The default size for unbounded arrays in the generated service or client. Available only when Inline array size limit is 0.

Character Set

Available only when Client is selected. When CICS is checked, the character set is automatically set to EBCDIC.

Bit Mode

Available only when Client is selected. When CICS is checked, bit mode is automatically set to 32.

CICS

Specifies the generation of a CICS Web service or client.

Type group

Commarea: Generate a skeleton CICS program with a COMMAREA program interface. Available only when CICS is checked, and Service is selected.
Channel: Generate a skeleton CICS program that uses a Channel program interface. Available only when CICS is checked.
Container name: The name of the Channel container. Available only when CICS is checked, and both Service and Channel are selected.

WEBSERVICE name

WSDL only. A name for the Web service as it is called from the generated CICS program using EXEC CICS INVOKE WEBSERVICE. Available only when Client is selected, and CICS is checked.

CCSID

The CCSID to use at run time for encoding character data in the generated application data structure. If left blank, the CCSID specified in the CICS SIT of the associated enterprise server region is used by default. Available only when Client is selected and CICS is checked.
