To install CCSID tables for HCOPG[7]

At a command prompt or using File Explorer (Windows) or the File utility (UNIX), change to the %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\hcopg (Windows) or $COBDIR/etc/hcopg (UNIX) directory.

Create a new subdirectory named COBCCSIDDIR.

Extract the contents of the pgmappings.zip file, located in the current directory, to the new COBCCSIDDIR subdirectory.

This creates the following three subdirectories under COBCCSIDDIR: IBM-5348 (Windows), IBM-819 (Linux non-EURO), and IBM-923 (Linux EURO). These subdirectories contain tables that map natural SBCS code pages to UNICODE for the NULL byte.

Create a new system environment variable, COBCCSIDDIR, and set its value to %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\hcopg\COBCCSIDDIR (Windows) or $COBDIR/etc/hcopg/COBCCSIDDIR (UNIX).

This enables your system to find the tables.
