Hold or release a job in the queue

  1. In Server Explorer, right-click the JES-enabled enterprise server, and select Show Spool.

    The Spool:<ES-name> tab is displayed.

  2. Double-click the required job.

    The job details are displayed on the <job-number> tab.

  3. Depending on the state of the job, select one of the following:
    • Click Hold job icon (Click to Hold).
    • Click Release job icon (Click to Release).
    The action is applied to the job immediately. For example, if the job is held in the In hold queue and you click Release job icon, it is immediately released, ready to be executed.
  4. Close the <job-number> tab to return to the spool queue.
